Utilizing
US-located servers for cross-border internet data communications is not in
contravention to the Alberta Privacy Act.
It is however
required that potential customers and end-users need to be informed that their
limited-supplied information may be subject to review as outlined in the US
Patriot Act of 2001. This notification is clearly stated in the terms and
conditions that require electronic agreement before customers and user are allowed
to proceed.
Further,
no personal financial data such as banking or credit card information is
collected or stored on any of the servers. The only personal information
acquired is Name, email address and in some requirements, a contact telephone
number. This type of information is generally available openly on the internet.
Our
company policy follows the same guidelines and procedures as all other
internet-based organizations in the world including Google, Amazon, IBM,
Facebook et al
